Product Description
The Multi-Tube Vortexer is designed for mechanical and chemical cell lysis, mixing suspensions, and general sample agitation. This vortex mixer gives a distinctly different motion than shaking a sample. With vortexing. greater shearing forces are placed on materials in the bottom of a tube, thus promoting either disruption or solubility. The Multi-Tube Vortex mixer is a tool to provide that extra degree of mixing, however it accommodates full racks of tubes or microwell plates, vials or cylinder as opposed to single tubes. Consequently, this unit is useful for higher throughput mixing of samples.
These vortexers are designed to hold the multiple test tubes, vials, or cylinders. The vortexing action is created by securing the top of the vessel in place while allowing the bottom to move freely in a defined 3.6mm eccentric orbit. Two posts hold support plate securely in place for a quite, rattle-free mixing. Support plate is easily adjusted by loosening knobs and lifting plate up and down. The circular groove around the top of the taller post allows the support plate to swing away from tray for easy removal of samples. The suction-cup feet dampen motion and prevent sliding on work surface. Equipped with a powerful, permanent magnet motor with sealed ball bearings.

FAQs of Single Phase Multi Vortexer:
Q: How is the Single Phase Multi Vortexer used for laboratory sample agitation and mixing?
A: The vortexer is utilized by loading tubes (up to 16 per platform) containing liquid samples onto the platforms. Users select the desired speed with the digital knob and choose between continuous or touch modes. The device then agitates and mixes samples efficiently, ensuring homogeneous results for downstream experiments.
Q: What safety features are integrated into the Multi Vortexer?
A: This vortexer includes overload protection to prevent motor damage, anti-slip feet for operational stability, and a robust powder-coated stainless-steel body. These features collectively safeguard users and equipment during intensive laboratory processes.
Q: When is it beneficial to use the continuous operating mode?
A: Continuous mode is ideal when consistent sample agitation is required over longer periods, such as during lengthy homogenization or repeated mixing procedures. This setting ensures uniform results, especially in high-throughput laboratory environments.
Q: Where can the Multi Vortexer be implemented effectively?
A: It is most effective in research laboratories, clinical diagnostic centers, and facilities involved in sample preparation or liquid mixing tasks. Its robust design and reliable performance make it suitable for both educational institutions and industrial laboratories across various fields.
Q: What is the process for controlling the vortexers speed and operation?
A: Speed is adjusted using a digital knob, allowing fine-tuned control with an accuracy of 5 rpm. Operating modescontinuous or touchare selected based on workflow requirements. The LED digital display provides instant feedback on operational parameters during use.
Q: What are the benefits of multiple platform vortexing capability?
A: Dual platforms increase throughput by enabling simultaneous vortexing of up to 32 samples. This enhances efficiency, reduces handling time, and ensures uniform mixing, making it particularly advantageous in high-volume laboratory settings.
